Stunnel / Ssl Tunneling
stunnel is an open source multi-platform program that creates TLS/SSL tunnels. TLS/SSL is the encryption used by HTTPS, so VPN connections routed through these TLS/SSL tunnels are therefore very difficult to tell apart from regular HTTPS traffic.
This is because the OpenVPN data is wrapped inside an additional layer of TLS/SSL encryption. As DPI techniques are unable to penetrate this “outer layer of encryption, they are unable to detect the OpenVPN encryption “inside.
SSL tunnels are usually made using the stunnel software. This must be configured on both the VPN server and your computer. It is, therefore, necessary to discuss the situation with your VPN provider if you want to use SSL tunneling .
AirVPN is the only VPN provider I know of to offer stunnel functionality “out of the box using its custom open source software. I am not otherwise familiar with Anonyproz, but it can be configured for stunnel, and other providers might also offer this feature.
Try Using A Different VPN Service Or Server
It is mostly IP addresses with popular VPNs that most websites and companies have the time to block. Not everybody has that time to start blocking all the VPNs that exist. Hence, if your VPN gets blocked, just move over to another VPN. Try switching to one that is not so popular.
If your IP address gets blocked, you can easily get another one from your VPN through a different server.
Check VPNs that have the highest number of servers to gain access to pools of IP addresses to choose from.
This will make switching to different IP addresses easy.
School And Workplace Policy
Its no secret that some schools, universities, or even offices block certain pages like Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube for productivity reasons . And as a VPN is one of the ways to bypass these bans, your workplace or school might block VPN connections as well.
Another reason for banning VPNs at school or at the office is the possibility to supervise internet traffic, as VPNs make it impossible for ISPs and network admins to access your browsing history.
To prevent you from using a VPN to access blocked websites, your ISP or network admin can use firewalls or other network filtering measures.

Should I Use A Free VPN For Roobet
Accessing Roobet with a free VPN is not possible.
After August 2021 Roobet became extremely strict with enforcing their blocked region policy and VPN detection and not even some paid VPNs work these days. Services such as HotSpot Shield VPN, Private Internet Access, Ivacy VPN, Cyberghost VPN and Turbo VPN currently dont work at all.
A free VPN extremely rarely updates their servers, so once Roobet bans their IPs, theyll stay banned forever. You cannot currently get through Roobet restrictions with a free VPN.
Beside now helping you accessing roobet and restricted content from blocked countries, these free VPNs may steal your data or even distribute malware or run DDoS attacks from your network.
Get Rid Of VPN Metadata From The Header File
Since header files contain the source of the data packets, its content type and so on, if intercepted by DPI , it can easily be blocked by the network firewall.
In order to bypass firewalls, VPNs use obfuscation to get rid of VPN Metadata from the header packet. Take away the source and it makes it almost impossible to know that the traffic is coming from a VPN server.
Think of this as de-badging your car. Getting rid of VIN number and all the branding would make terribly difficult to know the actual manufacturer of the car.

Switch Between Different VPN Ports
A port is a docking point used to control the flow of information. In terms of VPN software, ports are used by different protocols to dictate the way your incoming and outgoing Web data is handled. By closing a port, you stop the flow of information, which is one of the possible ways to restrict access to VPN applications. In this manner, the solution is to use a different port.

Why Might A VPN Get Blocked
As mentioned before, VPNs can be restricted for several reasons under different circumstances. Here are the most common scenarios.
1. School and workplace policies
Employers or even school administrators might prevent people accessing certain sites under their network. Social media can be blocked for productivity reasons, for example. These organisations may also want to access your traffic to make sure you do not perform any activities against their policies. As VPNs are used to bypass these blocks as well as hide your internet traffic, these services can be then banned using firewalls or other network filtering measures.
2. Streaming restrictions
As Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Hulu and other platforms have their content geo-restricted, streaming VPNs are getting more and more popular among users that want to access their favorite programmes no matter where they are in the world. However, this is actually against these platforms’ policies. That’s why streaming services are trying hard to prevent their subscribers from connecting through a VPN.
3. Government censorship
However, you should also bear in mind that in some countries using a VPN is actually against the law. These include Russia, Turkey and North Korea.
4. Copyright issues
5. Fraud prevention
Use A Different VPN Protocol
Todays VPNs come with a wide range of different protocols, created for various purposes. While some of these are putting your privacy and security first, others bring a compromise and deliver fast performance. Were talking about a whole slate of VPN protocols, such as OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP, SSTP, and more. If youd like to learn more, make sure to read our dedicated guide to VPN protocols.
Depending on which VPN application you use, youll easily get to switch to a new protocol. It is done by visiting the VPNs settings panel and choosing a protocol. Its that easy, and this can be one of the easiest answers on how to bypass VPN blocks.

Blocking Traffic From Specific Ports
When you browse the internet, youre sending data to the server of whatever website youre on. This server has various ports configured to accept different kinds of traffic, for instance, most accept HTTP traffic on port 80, or HTTPS traffic via port 443. However, some VPN protocols have their own specific ports. This means, for example, that if a website wants to completely block PPTP connections, all it has to do is block the port that the PPTP protocol uses: port 1723.
Of course, there are ways around port-blocking. Some VPNs offer features that scramble your data and disguise it as regular HTTP traffic, neatly side-stepping this entire problem. Additionally, services would have to block numerous ports to cater to all available VPN protocols, and this could prevent legitimate users from being able to access the service.
Use A VPN Service With Obfuscation / Stealth / Port
While using port 443 may work to help you bypass an administrator block, most VPN protocols have packet data headers that can let firewalls recognize the traffic as coming from a VPN.
Using a VPN service that has stealth technology or obfuscation helps the connection rewrite and/or obscure the packet data headers so that the fingerprint is not easily recognized by the system, thereby blocking the traffic.
Some VPNs that are known to have this feature include Torguard, VyprVPN, IPVanish, Proxy.sh, and VPN.ac, but you can always find out others which you wish to use if not these five.
Another great option to avoid admin blockages is by using a VPN that supports port-forwarding technology such as Private Internet Access.
In order to enable port forwarding in PIA, simply disconnect from the VPN, right-click the PIA Tray icon, and select Settings -> Network -> Request Port Forwarding.
Once the option is set, you can connect to one of the port forwarding enabled gateways from the list and your choice will be visible under the VPN IP address.
Another possible workaround that PIA provides is via a configuration file connecting through IP address instead of the hostname in conjunction with port TCP 443 via OpenVPN.
Moreover, you can establish a connection via L2TP or Wireguard protocols.

Bypassing A VPN Block For Amazon
Unblocking an Amazon VPN block is really just a matter of switching locations to one that isnt geo-restricted by Amazon. Heres how to do it:
Sign up for a reliable VPN service with a wide variety of server locations. When you finish, select a server from the appropriate location where Amazon doesnt block . This will change your IP address to a non-blocked location, and the Amazon block should be lifted. Now you can finally Proceed and use Amazon as usual.
Also, check that your firewalls or other antivirus software aren’t causing the problem.

Using Smart Dns Routing

It’s not a common approach, and DNS services also aren’t fail-proof, but if you’ve been having trouble using other methods, then a DNS service could be worth a try. Though its not a feature youll find across the board, there are a select few providers that offer DNS protection.

Considering Your VPN Provider
VPN blocks come in various forms. The most common method of VPN blocking is to set a site to block the known IP addresses of VPNs. Because there are so many VPNs out there and they change their IP addresses so fast, it’s impossible for anyone to block every single IP address of every VPN. This is why smaller VPNs sometimes work better than the more popular ones because their IPs are not yet known to the restricting bodies, and why VPNs keep adding and changing their IP addresses.
